Wednesday the !st of April, YotPH
Dear Reader,
The Secret Society has been founded and is being run, for you, by the Editor of these pages - who is in all probability likely to be someone you've never met, who you may never meet, and who is unfortunately the possessor of a vivid imagination and (hopefully) a sense of humo(u)r.
You, dear Reader, should therefore not take any information on this website as proven fact, or use as justification for your actions, unless you are prepared to implicitly place your trust in someone as detailed above, and who would set up a website like this - and then you will get precisely what you deserve and don't come crying to me about how it's all gone horribly wrong.
The Editor is a voracious reader of many books by a wide range of authors so there will be references to lots of stuff along the way, some of which even yours truly couldn't have a hope of correctly attributing any more. However, there is one exception to this. The Editor has for some time now been reading the series of Discworld® books by Mister (now Sir) Pterry Pratchett, therefore many references and some of the ideas in these pages will have by default developed from this.
Discworld® is a trade mark registered by Terry Pratchett.
Therefore may it be clearly understood that hereby and henceforward any and all recognisable references to Discworld®, a Discworld® character or a location are subject to this trade mark, and any (and all) mistakes in this area, factual or by omission, are entirely the fault of the Editor, who would like to apologise in advance.
And finally, dear Reader, the Editor would like to take this opportunity to express personal thanks to Sir P., for both his masterly descriptions of so detailed a world and for the last 25+ years of pure enjoyment he has given to
yours truly,
The Editor.
Post Scriptum:
Why not Come and Join Us - before we come and join you.
Post Post Scriptum:
Whereas the page leading you to this Declaration of Intent stated 'there may be a test later', the Editor would like to point out that this may (or may not) have been an entirely incorrect (or correct) statement - see paragraphs 1 & 2 above.
